My mission is to create something more than just a photo, I want to create a piece of art!
I have been a passionate photographer for over 25 years! I started with my uncle one day when he took me out to take photos and it was SO fun!! I took that love and took my first photography class in high school. This was such an amazing experience. We shot with black and white film, processed the film, then enlarged our favorite images in the dark room! This was so fun that when I went to college I desired to learn more techniques from different instructors. I took the beginners class and advanced class of photography in three different colleges. When I was a young adult I worked at a kids/infant photography studio where I was able to learn more about posing, how to get a smile from a kid, and so much more. Yes, I looked like a fool, but it is worth the amazing image I would get! I have hiked in the mountains and captured so many amazing landscape images in film, my goal is to enlarge these images and sell them at some point. I will definitely be adding to my landscape photography. Then I found my self absolutely amazed by Steve Rouch's Wedding Photography in my early adult years. I worked for him as am assistant for 8 years!!! Until I became pregnant with my first beautiful baby and decided stay home. I tried to start my portrait business at this time but found that having a baby at home was enough work at the moment. I never stopped using my camera and have continued to use my passion with my own kids, friends, and landscapes as able.
My kids are older and my time has become more available to focus on myself and what makes me happy! Photography is so fulfilling for me that what will be my job will also be my me time! Steve Rouch has been an amazing mentor and comes with over 40 years of experience in weddings, fine arts, and portraits. He is a master photographer, which is a great accomplishment in the photography world. I am able to use the 25+ years of experience mixed with his 40+ years of experience to make something absolutely amazing!!
My passion is in landscape, old textures from old cars and old buildings is what I like to capture the most. I use this love of being a landscape photographer in my family portraits. I love to find a beautiful landscape and put a family, couple, or kids in it. It makes for a beautiful image that can go on the wall, not just as a family photo but a piece of art! When I capture family portraits I will be sure to get the posed images with everyone smiling and looking at the camera, candids, and an artistic piece. My mini sessions do not always allow for all of this, so if you want the whole package, I suggest you sign up for an hour portrait session at a minimum.
I am in the process of using my many years of experience and love for architecture to capture homes in the real estate market. With this, I will be adding construction and any other architecture photography needs.
I am so excited about all of the plans and goals I have to come!! Get used to seeing my name in the world of photography!! I have so many goals that will really put the photography world into a positive direction!
